What is air? Two little creatures set out to find out. From breathing and whistling to a little fart. But who does the air actually belong to? And can it be caught? Then the previously invisible air suddenly becomes very tangible between them and it’s every creature for itself.
LUCHT is about making something out of nothing and making the world believe that it has value. It is a wordless and dance-driven performance about everything and nothing. Two cheerful creatures try to catch, keep and cherish air. Until they become attached to it and themselves become playthings of the forces of LUCHT.
Creator Merel Denie was nominated for the Henriette Hustinx Prize in 2017. With LUCHT, she graduated with a Master in Theatre from Toneelacademie Maastricht.
