Songwriter, singer, and guitarist Ben Chasny – also known from the legendary American noise rock band Comets On Fire – started his Six Organs of Admittance project in the late 1990s. With it, he became one of the pioneers of the new folk movement, alongside Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, and CocoRosie. After numerous projects (such as Badgerlore, August Born, 200 Years, Rangda, …) and more than twenty albums, he released the solo album Time Is Glass on Drag City. In the solo Tempest, Lisbeth Gruwez draws on martial arts to channel raw energy into focused strength. An oscillating body that moves between chaotic sharp surges of energy and the potential for a quiet clarity held at its centre.
