BODYBUILDERS stems from the desire of Italian photographer Alien to document the new alternative drag and club kids scene across the world. A dynamic community, constantly evolving and often difficult to grasp, whose traces are collected in a first volume dedicated to the United Kingdom, followed by a second publication on the Americas, from South to North, currently in production.

Theater Artemis & Studio Julian Hetzel

Theater Artemis and Studio Julian Hetzel present: a talent show for misfits. Who is the best  at failing? The candidates show us what they’ve got.

This performance searches for beauty within the ugly. Yet, what is tasteless for one, can be beautiful for the other. Together with the audience, we try to find out what the word ‘success’ actually means. Who decides what is cool or good-looking? Who knows if something is a  piece of Art or simply garbage? Can we look at things from a different angle? Do we care too  much about what other people think?

Serdi Faki Alici & Lara Staal / NTGent

I hate the number six
There were six of us at home,
my parents died the sixth month of the year when I was six...

SERDI tells the story of Serdi. All about how someone who has nothing makes his voice his home. As an orphan, moving from institution to institution and from school to juvenile detention, Serdi made himself a promise. He taught himself beatboxing. He trained until he could do it. The acoustics of solitary confinement proved perfect for refining his technique.

Antwerp-based Gnome present their third album: Vestiges of Verumex Visidrome.
The trio rips, pops and thunders through a landscape of stoner, prog and heavy metal, populated by mythical figures and with adventurous twists and turns.

After the release of “King” (2022) and the success of their self-made music videos, the band gained live experience on tours in Europe, UK and US.
Gnome headed to London in April 2024 to record their bigger, increasingly greasy sound under the direction of Wayne Adams.

Dance meets concert, that’s Into The Open’s pledge.

Seven performers embody the groove and share the energy of the music. They spur each other on with pimped krautrock from 2022, or Can’s repetitive theme crossed with The Chemical Brothers’ high voltage.

Voetvolk welcomes you for a wild, collective leap into limbo. Let’s trance!
