Legendary guitarist, improviser and composer Fred Frith is one of the most important figures of experimental and new music. He is probably best known for his reinvention of the electric guitar that began with his album 'Guitar Solos' in 1974. Frith learned his craft in rock bands, particularly within the iconic Henry Cow, and worked with Bill Laswell (Massacre), Tom Cora (Skeleton Crew), John Zorn and Robert Wyatt.
As an improviser, he shared the stage with key figures from several generations, from Derek Bailey and Pauline Oliveros to Camille Émaille and the young violinist gabby fluke-mogul, with whom he began playing together around 2014. With two solo and two duo releases on the Relative Pitch label, fluke-mogul has almost overnight built a huge reputation as one of the most original and in-requested improvisers in the world.

Over the past decade, Frith and fluke-mogul have collaborated in various constellations, from a violin duo (Frith is also a very accomplished violinist) to quartets with Ava Mendoza and Susanna Santos Silva or in trio with Nava Dunkelman.
