Four teenage girls discover life, love and everything to do with it together. Because the shoot of LA VIE NE ME FAIT PAS PEUR took up several years, the lead characters really do grow up on screen. They become aware of who they are, what they love and what they want in life.

Director Noémie Lvovsky manages to capture the difficult balance between the beauty and the terrifying aspects of what teenage years can be. The result of this is an authentic and universal portrait of the lives of these four women in France. Funny, truthful and bursting with music: a beautiful summary of the movie’s title.
