Regisseur Alex Ross Perry noemt Pavement “de beste en meest invloedrijke band ter wereld”. Zijn film PAVEMENTS is dan ook allesbehalve een gewone muziekdocumentaire. De band rond Stephen Malkmus, in deze film deels vertolkt door Stranger Things-acteur Joe Keery, was in de jaren 1990 hét gezicht van de Amerikaanse indiescène en is sinds kort weer samen.
