Geheim agent James Bond moet tegen de klok een Russische decodeermachine, bekend als “Lektor”, vinden voordat het apparaat in de handen valt van de boosaardige organisatie SPECTRE. Om dit doel te bereiken, laat 007 zich opzettelijk meesleuren in een moordcomplot, waarbij de naïeve Russische Tatiana Romanova betrokken is, net als de ex-KGB moordmachine Rosa Klebb en haar handlanger Red Grant.

Secret agent James Bond has to race to find a Russian decoding machine, known as “Lektor”, before the device falls into the hands of the evil organisation SPECTRE. To reach this goal, 007 deliberately has himself caught up in a murder plot that involves the naïve Tatiana Romanova, as well as former KGB murder machine Rosa Klebb and her henchman Red Grant.
