Tijdens het hoogtepunt van de Koude Oorlog verliezen zowel de Verenigde Staten als Rusland een ruimtevaartuig, waarbij de twee door een ongeïdentificeerd ruimtetuig worden opgeslokt. Beide landen wijzen met de vinger naar elkaar voor de verdwijningen en de spanningen lopen hoog op. Het Verenigd Koninkrijk heeft echter een andere theorie en zendt hun topspion James Bond uit om de waarheid te achterhalen… in Japan. During the height of the Cold War, the United States and Russia both lose a spacecraft, seemingly swallowed whole by an unidentified spaceship. Both countries point the finger at each other for the disappearances, and the tensions run high. However, Britain has a different theory and deploys their top agent, James Bond, to find out the truth… in Japan. With the help of the Japanese Secret Service, 007 discovers a plot that is even more sinister than anyone could’ve thought.
