ALPHAVILLE: UNE ÉTRANGE AVENTURE DE LEMMY CAUTION

Mix van sciencefiction en film noir die zich afspeelt in een onbepaalde toekomst waarin detective Lemmy Caution op zoek gaat naar professor von Braun in een stad waar liefde en individualiteit verboden zijn. Caution slaagt erin de verdediging van de stad te doorbreken en zelfs de dochter van de dictator de betekenis van liefde bij te brengen. Uit bestaande locaties en architectuur creëerde Godard een dystopisch universum en wilde de kijker doen inzien dat niet de toekomst, maar het heden angstaanjagend is.
